    Stating a whopping 16% alcohol on the label, the 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape follows the lines of intensely concentrated and complex red wines that Clos Saint-Jean followers are constantly raving about. It has an edge over the 2020, bursting from the glass with pungent aromas of blood orange, cooked red and black fruits, dried lavender, licorice, mint and cured meat. Ripe tannins give structure to the full-bodied palate, which is neatly balanced by bright acidity. [Nicolas Greinacher, 29/06/2023]

    STORAGE

    Our wine cellars combine the natural characteristics of an underground wine cellar with state-of-the-art computer-controlled ventilation systems.

    This maintains a humidity level of 65-75% and a constant temperature of 12-14°C all year round. In this safe place, the wine bottles can mature in complete darkness and peace. The cellar is free from foreign odours and vibrations so as not to affect the taste of the wine.
