    Vinous 91

    The 2021 Volnay Les Champans 1er Cru has an attractive nose with pure red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit and an underlying mineralité. Hints of rose petal emerge with time. The palate offers tart cherry fruit mixed with orange zest, quite lively and focused. It is not a powerful Volnay and does not offer the sensuality of warmer vintages, but it is well balanced with a bright, edgy finish that will partner well at the dinner table.     STORAGE

    Our wine cellars combine the natural characteristics of an underground wine cellar with state-of-the-art computer-controlled ventilation systems.

    This maintains a humidity level of 65-75% and a constant temperature of 12-14°C all year round. In this safe place, the wine bottles can mature in complete darkness and peace. The cellar is free from foreign odours and vibrations so as not to affect the taste of the wine.
