    Vinous 90-92

    The 2021 Volnay Clos des Chênes 1er Cru has a classy bouquet with redcurrant, cranberry and light raspberry scents, pure and focused, though not as intense as previous vintages like you would expect. The palate is clean and precise, slightly creamy in texture on the entry, not plush but with a silky smooth, peppery finish that tingles after the wine has exited. Very fine.     STORAGE

    Our wine cellars combine the natural characteristics of an underground wine cellar with state-of-the-art computer-controlled ventilation systems.

    This maintains a humidity level of 65-75% and a constant temperature of 12-14°C all year round. In this safe place, the wine bottles can mature in complete darkness and peace. The cellar is free from foreign odours and vibrations so as not to affect the taste of the wine.
