    The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Craipillot 1er Cru has a light nose, possibly picked earlier than its peers, more "airy" in style and just missing a little presence. That said, it is nicely defined. The palate offers bitter red fruit on the entry with lots of sour cherry, quite edgy but perhaps just needing more substance to flesh out the finish. Par for the course and under my estimation from barrel. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. [Neal Martin, 01/10/2025]

    STORAGE

    Our wine cellars combine the natural characteristics of an underground wine cellar with state-of-the-art computer-controlled ventilation systems.

    This maintains a humidity level of 65-75% and a constant temperature of 12-14°C all year round. In this safe place, the wine bottles can mature in complete darkness and peace. The cellar is free from foreign odours and vibrations so as not to affect the taste of the wine.
