Vinous 95

The 2020 Giscours has a fabulous bouquet. It’s very complex and well-defined, with blackberry, bilberry and hints of blueberry and violets. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins and fine grip, quite edgy and tensile. Lightly spiced with a precise and persistent finish, this is a seriously impressive follow-up to the ’19 that will vie for supremacy. [Neal Martin, 25/04/2025]

A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, the 2020 Giscours reveals a deep garnet-purple color and compelling notes of crushed redcurrants, plum preserves and Morello cherries, leading to hints of lavender, wild sage, damp soil and black truffles with a touch of licorice. The medium-bodied palate bursts with vibrant red and black fruits and lots of savory accents, supported by soft, very well managed tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note. STORAGE

Our wine cellars combine the natural characteristics of an underground wine cellar with state-of-the-art computer-controlled ventilation systems.

This maintains a humidity level of 65-75% and a constant temperature of 12-14°C all year round. In this safe place, the wine bottles can mature in complete darkness and peace. The cellar is free from foreign odours and vibrations so as not to affect the taste of the wine.
